Im same as boff i measure and cut all my cornice (sometimes offer each piece up to check) then mitre bond all together and fix to cupboards.Unless i have two long runs 90 degrees etc,then i mitre bond the small bits like the returns then offer both up making sure it doesnt fall off and hit u on head lol.then join the straight lengths at the corner once cornice is in place.
